Rosetta Stone Announces a Scholarship for ESL Students

English as a second language learners have a wonderful scholarship opportunity specifically available to them from Rosetta Stone Ltd.

Rosetta Stone Ltd., a leading worldwide provider of language learning, announced today the creation of the Rosetta Stone® Communicate and Connect Scholarship for graduating English as a Second Language (ESL) high school seniors. The winner will be determined by an essay contest for ESL students and will receive a cash award of $3,000 towards his/her college education.

Participants in the scholarship contest will be asked to describe “how learning English impacted your life” in 500 words or less for their essay submission. The winning essay will be selected based on the merits of the language learning story and quality of writing.

“Rosetta Stone gives students the ability to unlock the power of language in an effective, fun, and easy way,” said Tom Adams, chief executive officer, Rosetta Stone. “The Communicate and Connect Scholarship aims to take this goal one step further and allow one student to use the positive force of language learning to further their education and career.”

The winner of this essay contest will be able to use this award for the 2010 academic year. Applicants need to have their entries in by May15, 2009, and the winners will be announced in June.
